As if the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule for 2020 had not yet experienced enough change due to the coronavirus pandemic, the date and start time for the series' race at Bristol Motor Speedway was changed yet again — this time due to weather.

Because last week's NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte was postponed from Wednesday to Thursday, the Xfinity Series race that was scheduled for Saturday at Bristol had to be moved back to Monday "due to travel and setup challenges." So now thestart time for Monday'sXfinity race at Bristol is 7 p.m. ET. The race will broadcast live on FS1.

Monday's Xfinity Series race at Bristol is the third since the series returned from a three-month hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic. Chase Briscoe, who won the series' first race in its return to racing at Darlington, is the points leader heading into Monday night's race.Briscoe will be making his fifth start at Bristol on Monday. He has two top fives in the last two races, finishing fourth and runner-up.

Monday night's race is scheduled to run 300 laps for a distance of 159.9 miles. The three stages will end on Lap 85, Lap 170 and Lap 300, respectively.

  • Positions 1-12: The first 12 teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up eligibilityusing a random draw.
  • Positions 13-24: The next 12 teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up eligibilityusing a random draw.
  • Positions 25-36: The next 12 teams based on the Adverse Conditions Line Up eligibilityusing a random draw.
  • Carseligible for the race in positions 37th-40th will be assigned starting positions based on their order of eligibility.

As for the Xfinity Series doubleheader in June at Homestead-Miami Speedway,the second race (June 14) will use an inversion of the top 15in the first race (June 13)to determine the starting lineup.
